In this post I will try to find out the difference between CV and Resume as most of the candidates used wrong term while applying for a Job.

CV (Curriculum Vitae) is the detail note on your educational background, your skills and your professional experience. CV can consists couple of pages mostly two pages and can also exceed that limit while on the other hand Resume is the brief and a short summary of your educational background, experience and skills it should be not more than two pages. Resume is used in US and Canada for seeking jobs while CV is used in UK, Ireland and New Zealand. In Asia CV is preferred more than Resume therefore we should use the term CV instead of using American term Resume which can only be used if asked by the employer himself.
